Each front piece is handmade from a combination that includes padauk, mother of pearl, blackwood, spalted maple, teal abalone, quilted mahogany and koa. Back and sides are made from birch wood and mahogany veneer. With a built-in snare, drummers can control the beat of the music and alter the rhythm of the music at any pace with the easily accessible quick turn of a knob for on and off control.
